Rule of Thirds in design
The most popular and simple 3 by 3 grid shows the rule of thirds – this is the simplest composition technique that designers and artists learn about early in their careers. Photographers also constantly use this rule in their work.
As we know, according to the rule of thirds, the image looks more saturated, interesting, exciting, and dynamic if the subject is not placed in the centre. Also very often the rule of thirds is used when shooting videos, movies, and TV shows.
The so-called dead centre is where photographers and cameramen tend to place their main subject because that seems like the best way to focus on it.
If you try to move the subject from the centre to the power point (where the grid lines intersect), you can create a more interesting and powerful image by adding versatility to the composition.
As a designer, working with the rule of thirds is very easy, it’s one of those basic things that professionals do well. Every designer can create better designs and take better pictures and shoot better videos if they use the rule of thirds. By applying the rule of thirds in design, you can give your design a more professional and harmonious look.
