What is a site prototype and what is it for?

Prototyping is a necessary and important element in the process of creating a project, which helps to test and verify the full or partial functionality of a site or application before it is developed.

Creating a prototype can be either very or vice versa difficult, it all depends on the budget, tasks, and project deadlines.

The prototype can be created in several ways (board, pencil, and paper) or in digital format – Figma, Photoshop, Html.

Prototyping is mostly necessary to detect errors and flaws in UX design results. The designer enters the feedback data into the prototype and conducts testing. If the prototype passes the test and is approved, it can move on to the next stage of website design.

Prototyping is always a process by which you can create screens and test the functionality, and run simulations to check the functionality of the project. The result of prototyping is feedback on the concepts that are created, and their continuous improvement of results.

The UX design process has the following types of work:

Formal and informal
Interactive and static

Prototyping can be used both for full development and partial for some elements of the project.

Prototyping is effective when it concentrates on a key component. Testing takes place on a large number of concepts in order to choose the best option.

To create a prototype, you can use any medium, for example, board, pencil, and paper, cardboard layouts, and storyboards.

When creating projects of varying complexity, different types of approaches are used, somewhere it is convenient to use a pencil and paper, somewhere in digital programs.
