Use of space in presentation design
If we are designing a presentation, we must pay special attention to space. The slide is the beginning of our work, and it should always be filled with content. Our task is to place the content in such a way that it effectively interacts with the audience. And it is important for everyone to use white space when creating a presentation design. Space is a void that needs to be filled. This is an important and necessary element that makes it possible to create a correct visual message for the user.
White space helps the viewer focus on positive elements by creating contrast and direction where important in your design. When creating a harmonious, balanced and clearly structured design, space is indispensable.
Using white space in your presentations is the key to your success in combating clutter in your presentation. When there is too much detail and there is no space, our eyes become overloaded and tired, and we lose interest in design. If there is no contrast, there will be no design. Contrast is a fundamental element of good design, but without white space, this cannot be achieved.
White space creates, emphasizes, and highlights elements in a design. They allow content to breathe freely and not overwhelm the audience.
Basic rules of white space in design:
- Empty space needs to be understood and seen when creating a design
- Empty space allows the design to breathe.
- Empty space enhances the design and makes it whole.
- The composition should help the viewer to stimulate his imagination.
- Simplicity creates clarity, meaning and beauty
- Asymmetry is naturalness, dynamics and attractiveness in design
- The combination of design elements creates beauty based on the rules, and attracts the attention of the audience.
